Michigan State Spartans basketball and the 2016 NBA champion Detroit Pistons rule the topics of discussion during this episode of Sports in the Mitten with Adam Biggers and John Gustin.

On Tuesday, the Spartans hosted writers and reporters for their annual media day. Adam was there, so he talks about what he saw, heard and learned from the day’s event. John also tries to get him to lay out a firm starting five… which Adam simply couldn’t do at the moment.

Tom Izzo compared the depth of this year’s team to that of the 2005 team. He also said that Deyonta Davis shares similar qualities with former star big man Paul Davis.

The Pistons are going 82-0, and nothing will stop them from winning an NBA championship for the first time since 2004, says John. Exciting start, lots of possibilities—are you buying into the Pistons after just two games?
