Buck Farmer was just called up to Detroit, and the Tigers wasted little time getting the 23-year-old on the mound, starting him Wednesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Not overly impressive but decent, the 6'4", 225-pound righty gave way to Blaine Hardy in the sixth. At the time of this post, the Tigers led 5-4 in the seventh, thanks to Nick Castellanos' solo homer.
Adam and John will discuss the game during Thursday's episode of Sports in the Mitten @SITMBigAndKid. We'll also have Spartan Mag's Paul Konyndyk to talk Michigan State basketball--and probably some football.
