A who's-who of Flint-area baseball icons are coming together Sunday, Aug. 24 at Foutch's (Linden and Corunna Rd.) to honor former Saginaw Valley State University coach and local ambassador of the sport, Walt Head, an 800-game winner who's seen several handfuls of players reach the professional level.

Because of his contributions, the Greater Flint-Area Baseball and Softball Association teamed up with Foutch's Pub/Foutch's Strike Zone to celebrate his career. For a $20 donation, guests can have dinner with stars and talk about the city's rich baseball tradition with the men who wrote it.

The happy hour starts at 3 p.m., so arrive a little early and mingle with former Major Leaguers before having hamburgers, brats, beers and hot dogs with them at 4 p.m. This isn't a black-tie affair, so wear your baseball jersey, bring the family and get ready for a history lesson you won't soon forget.
